Tag Tuesday Challenge #31 - A Shaped Tag

This week I got my very first Oxford Impressions rubber stamps.  The first time I ever saw them was on Louise's blog and wanted some ever since.  One of the sets is called "Afternoon Tea" and I chose it to carry out the Tag Tuesday Challenge this week.

I found a teapot clip art image online and enlarged it (although now that I see the picture posted, it looks a little like an Aladdin's lamp!)  The Basic Grey paper  used for the teapot looks like tarnished silver with chased designs on it.  Ranger Glossy Accents was used to add some interest to the teapot by highlighting the design of the paper. The "steam" is a section of a Prima crystal flourish that was applied to a piece of rigid clear plastic packaging.   The twisted cording is handmade as well as the matching tassel.

Tag Tuesday Challenge #30 - Punch It

This week's tag challenge at Kard Krazy  was to include something that was punched.  Snowflakes are a particular favorite of mine so snowflake punches it was!  The tag was cut from a recycled greeting card and the silver snowflakes were punched from a box that had once contained  face cream. :)

Card: Fashionista

This is a birthday card for my fashionista friend, Debbie!  One of my favorite things about this card is the huge red button!

Card: For My Sister

This card was for my sister's 50th birthday.  Because my sister, Tami, is also a paper crafter and it was a milestone birthday the card had to be really special.  It took 4 attempts but I finally was able to pull it all together!

Card: Glitter and Bling!

The effect of the clear chunky glitter on this card is beautiful!  After I embossed the card stock and added the blue crystals, I traced the embossing with Sobo glue and a fine tip applicator.  I worked in sections, adding the glitter before the glue started to dry.  The snowflake die cut was done the same way; crystals first then the glitter.

Tag Tuesday Challenge #28 - purple, green and silver

I love this unusual color scheme for a Christmas tag at Kard Krazy's weekly challenge!  The colors came out different in the photo.  The purple is periwinkle and it reads very blue in the picture.  The ribbon turned out the right color and the card stock matches the ribbon but you would never know that from the photo! *sigh*

The punch that I used to make the top and bottom diamonds is by McGill. I bought it a long time ago and it is still one of my favorites!

This week's challenge at Kard Krazy was a Christmas tag in pink, brown and burgundy. The whole time I was making this tag I thought of chocolate covered cherries!

Tag Tuesday #24 - Key to My Heart

The Tag Tuesday challenge at Kard Krazy this week was to use any supplies other than paper.
For the challenge I painted this grungeboard key with gold acrylic and outlined the embossed swirls with a black gel pen.  Black crystals framed with metal rings were added.  The round charm was taken from a costume jewelry charm bracelet that I've had since I was a kid.  The charm says "Je t'aime plus qu'hier moins que demain" which in French means "I love you more than yesterday less than tomorrow."  The tiny vial contains a small lock of my husband's hair.  Since he holds the key to my heart, this tag is an homage to him!
