Card: Another "Joy" Christmas Card!

"Joy" seems to be a theme in my Christmas cards this year!  "Bling It On" is the challenge for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week.  I added real German glass glitter to the "Joy" chipboard alphas and there's some bling on the spacer above the dangling pearl.  In order to get just the right color of ribbon I used white Hug Snug and dyed it with Broken China Distress Ink  then added a little bit of Evergreen Chalkboard  Glimmer Mist because it needed some green.  Granite Glimmer mist was then added to made it dusty.

Card: We Wish You a Merry Christmas

I'm linking this card to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge where the challenge this week is to use a stamp.  This stamp is a cool vintage image by Stampington & Company! Gee, could I use the word "stamp" any more in just 2 sentences?! :D  In order to get the thin brown cardstock mat around the stamped image and the holly print I glued the die cuts to the cardstock then fussy cut around them.  The white paper doily was misted with  Lindy's Stamp Gang Burnished Brass Moonshadow Mist.

Card: Mojo Monday 323 - Joy

This Christmas card uses this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

The paper is from the Teresa Collins Noel Collection and the cardstock is DCWV; all were inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink.   I fussy cut the holly from the "Definitions" paper and layered it to add some nice depth and embossed the cardstock with Cuttlebug's Holly Ribbons embossing folder.  The "Joy" stamp is from the BasicGrey Aspen stamp set, the ribbon is Hug Snug, and the gem brad is My Mind's Eye Lush Red.  Though you can't see it in the photo, the entire card was finished up with Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist.

I. Love. Glitter.  That said, I really don't use it that much on my cards but I do use it more on ATCs and tags.  This tag is glitter overload - I love it!  I'm linking this tag to Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2013 as well as Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and the Silhouette Blog's weekly challenge.  The skeleton and frame is Silhouette design #50114 (Halloween skeleton profile frame.)

ATC : Autumn Burns Brightly

MFW Tuesday Trigger

Today I'm linking this ATC to Unity Friends With Flair and to Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger.  The MFW Trigger is "Enthralled with Fall" and this ATC is all about Fall!  I found the following quote and loved it!

The leaf stamp on the embellishment is from the Unity September 2013 LOL kit.  The leaf is stamped on a Heidi Grace Glass Effects acrylic piece that I first sanded then stamped and embossed with Ranger Enchanted Gold embossing powder.  To finish it off I applied alcohol ink and stitched it to the background with metallic thread.

Card: Stitched Snowflake Christmas Card

I love how this turned out!  I'm submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and for the Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge.  I used Silhouette shapes  #20960 (5 Piece Gift Tag Set) and #14329 (Stitching Templates - Snowflake 3).  I resized the red tag to 2"x3"; I cut out the "Merry Christmas" tag by hand.

ATC : Pumpkins For Sale

It was a dark and starry night...

These pumpkins are so small - they range in size from 3/8" x 1/2" to 5/8" x 1  1/4" !  Because they're so small I had to use the point editing feature on my Silhouette to simplify the swirl and leaf designs so they didn't end up as shreds!

Card: Mojo Monday 315

 The patterned papers on this card are from My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Lavender 6X6.  The wooden button and the chippie button are from The Sweetest Thing, also.  That teeny tiny button on top of the chippie button is made by Dress It Up - it's soooo cute!

It's Friday so it's Friends With Flair at Unity!  The "celebrate" on this card is from the Sentiments O' Simple set from a while back.

Card: Creating a Letterpress Background

This week's challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs is to create your own background.

I inked up Spellbinders' "Butterfly" Impressabilities embossing template with Broken China Distress Ink and did a letterpress technique for the tone-on-tone background.  It turned out so pretty - I should do this more often!
